Prairie Town House (1985)

The Prairie Town House was developed after traveling Interstate 90 on the way to the west coast. It is an idea of architecture in the landscape inspired by the ghosts of billboards and drive-in cinema’s left idle along the way, and how light dances through their skeletal remains. The project includes a steel frame, a glass curtain wall, and infill wood panels. A suspended greenhouse and an artificial yard ensure a light touch on the prairie.
